OUR DISTRICT

Inver Grove Heights Schools is a public school district of 3,600 students in preschool through 12th grade. The district seeks to inspire students, innovate in its programming, and help students excel and make a positive impact on our community.

ISD 199 includes HilltopPine Bend, and Salem Hills elementary schools, Inver Grove Heights Middle School, and Simley High School. Salem Hills also offers the Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program, a National Blue Ribbon School, for high-achieving students in grades 2-5, and Simley’s award-winning Alternative Learning Program provides a smaller learning environment with individualized curriculum to support eligible juniors and seniors.

IGH Early Learning
‘s Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes support parents with new babies and develop the foundational skills of children birth through 3 years old to ensure success in school and beyond. TriDistrict Community Education provides a wide variety of enrichment classes for adults and youth in Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, and parts of West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, and Eagan.

SCHOOL FINDER

Inver Grove Heights Schools (IGHS)

IGHS serves roughly 3,800 students. We also offer a gifted magnet program and Atheneum. Which is available for eligible students in grades 2-5. The program was created in 2002. IGHS plans to meet the needs of students as well as parents. As well as advancing their interests. Students can expand their learning through honors classes in middle school. And a variety of academic programs in high school. This includes a large list of Advanced Placement courses and college preparatory programs in partnership with local colleges.

Community Education is part of our district. Which also offers many different programs for learners of all ages. This includes Early Childhood Family Education, Adult Basic Education, and community education classes. These classes are available for both children and adults.

The strategic plan also plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between all involved. This includes staff, parents and the public.

To create a learning environment to provide high student fulfillment. That way all students are prepared for lifelong learning. IGHS has high academic standards and expectations. As well as a record of outstanding student achievement. Most important, this is in and out of the classroom.

National Demonstration School:

The District 199 Board of Education is comprised of seven voting members elected at-large from the total school community. The superintendent serves as a non-voting ex-officio member.
