Welcome to Rockford Area Schools! District #883 currently encompasses three schools, an elementary arts magnet school, a Green Ribbon award winning middle STEM magnet school and a high school, serving communities in Wright and Hennepin Counties. Our preK-12 public school population is about 1680 students. Our district is also a member of the NorthWest Suburban Integration School District.

Rockford Area Schools (RAS)
RAS is made up of three school buildings. This includes an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. It is also worth mentioning that each of our schools are Magnet schools. Which is a type of public school that has a set curricular focus. One developed around a core set of principles.
The district has a student population of approximately 1,650. As well as a certified staff. The district community population is approximately 9,450. We are mostly a rural community. About 35 miles west of the Twin Cities. This district includes all or parts of 4 communities. Encompassing 42.43 square miles across both Hennepin and Wright counties.

RAS Community Education
Preparing our youngest learners for that first day of kindergarten. As well as educating parents on how to best support their child’s learning. In addition to providing safe and quality place to learn and play when children are not in school.
Teaching adult learners literacy and workplace skills. Engaging adults and senior citizens in continued learning opportunities. While creating a culture that engages the whole community.

|Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD) is a collaborative of seven area school districts in the northwest metro. We provide our schools and communities with a variety of programs and services to promote racial equity and cultural awareness. We provide opportunities for students to participate in education programs that are multi-cultural, varied, and racially integrated. Program options are voluntary and available to families based on school choice.

The seven member districts of NWSISD include Anoka-Hennepin School District, Brooklyn Center Schools, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools, ISD728 Elk River|Otsego|Rogers|Zimmerman, Fridley Public Schools, Osseo Area Schools, and Rockford Area Schools. Collectively, NWSISD and its member districts have a charge to work together on integration and achievement goals.
Entrance into NWSISD magnet schools is application based. Priority application registration is open mid-October through end of December with the lotteries taking place beginning of January.
