Forest Lake School District (FLSD)
FLSD engages students everyday in a world-class education. This is done to prepare them for the demands of the world.
A challenging academic program helps students develop their skills. Especially if started in the early years. This advances critical thinking. Staff create meaningful connections with students. This helps to foster personal development.
Many of our high school classes offer college credit. An extensive list of course offerings including music, world languages, technical electives, and much more. Students create their own career pathways.
Our school district has long maintained a curriculum review process. Furthermore, this is done through research and evaluating new materials and resources. All done while carefully analyzing their impact on student learning. Most important, ensuring alignment to state and national standards.
At FLSD we provide an atmosphere of respect. A place where students will improve weaknesses and capitalize on strengths. All in an effort to become independent learners.
A great place to live and learn
The academic efforts of our students are supported by excellent teachers (67% of our staff have earned a Masters
Degree), challenging curriculum, technology, high standards and a safe learning environment. The school district’s strong traditional academic program is enhanced by award-winning co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, gifted education offerings and a full range of special education programming.
