About Minnetonka Schools

The Minnetonka Public School District is a high performing school district proudly serving families in all or part of 10 communities: Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Victoria and Woodland. Together the ten communities have provided incredible levels of support for the children and programs in the Minnetonka Public Schools.

We serve approximately 7,700 students in grades K-12.  In addition, our birth-to-5 Early Childhood Family Education Program serves families and children during the most critical early developmental years.  In all, more than 20,000 students of all ages take advantage of educational opportunities offered through our community education and recreation programs. Our relatively small size and commitment to quality means we can personalize each child’s education to meet his or her unique needs.

Our students attend one of six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school.  Click on the links above to visit any of our schools. Our Superintendent and administrative functions are housed at the District Service Center which is also the home to monthly school board meetings.  The school district is governed by a seven member Board of Directors, elected at large in November of odd-numbered years. Each year our school board adopts District Goals which ensure our district remains focused on student achievement.

You want an excellent education for your child.  So do we. All of us in the Minnetonka Public Schools are committed to helping each student develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and character to thrive in a changing world. We look forward to welcoming your family to our community and hope you will join us.

A great place to raise a family!
